Jupiter, on the other hand, should be a little easier to find. It's in the constellation Cancer the Crab, which has no bright stars. Jupiter is very high in the east after sunset; the moon is just to the right of Jupiter on the night of March 24.
A lot of folks think you need a telescope to see the planets; nothing could be farther from the truth! The planets are very far away, so a telescope or binoculars are needed to see any detail, but without such devices, the planets appear as very bright stars in the sky.
